Canon Names President/CEO of Canon Information and Imaging Solutions

Melville, NY—Canon USA announced the appointment of Kenji Sato as president and chief executive officer of Canon Information and Imaging Solutions (CIIS). In addition to his new role with CIIS, Sato will continue to serve as vice president and general manager of Canon USA’s Information Technology Group.

Sato graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Musashi Institute of Technology. Subsequently, his career at Canon began in Japan in 1982 with Canon Inc., the parent company of Canon USA. Between 1987 and 2005, Sato held positions with Canon Europe, Canon Canada as well as Canon China.

Furthermore, in 2005, Sato moved to the United States to work with Canon USA. In all four of his assignments, he spearheaded the effort to implement new IT systems for each respective subsidiary.
