Smart marketers know that clear brand association and leadership come through communication.  That’s why I want to take this opportunity to tell you all about the investments our company is making to support our industry with new and enhanced media and event opportunities.

Magazines: Our star-studded editorial team is rallying to protect and preserve brand equity that has been nurtured for years, with continued investment in Dealerscope, CustomRetailer, Picture Business and E-Gear. Besides the same quality relevant content that matters and exciting new covers and graphics, we also have a stake in broadening the audience for each magazine through digital editions.

We are measuring the audience via a BPA audit thus assuring our advertisers that the readers are as qualified as the print editions. CustomRetailer, Dealerscope and Picture Business are the number one business and strategy publications in their respective market segments, which in a challenging economy are must reads for retailers, custom integrators, installers, manufacturers, buying groups, manufacturers’ representatives, distributors and industry associations looking to weather the storm.

Websites: You have undoubtedly been reading how our investment in Nstein has increased the speed and depth of archived content across the CTPG (Consumer Technology Publishing Group) portfolio of websites. Hopefully, you have experienced them for yourselves. Visit any time, any day to get the latest industry news, meet the staff and check out the forums and archived webinars.

The design format and content is continually being upgraded this year as well. So many of our readers use video in so many clever ways either on their websites or in their television ads. The robust engine behind our sites allows us to share those great ideas with the website visitor. We believe in the digital future and are spending accordingly.

E-Newsletters: The daily Dealerscope Today and the CustomRetailer E-weekly welcome a new sibling with the launch of the consumer E-Gear newsletter this Spring.  Our investment in Nstein also has a positive impact on the speed of delivery for our newsletters.

Custom Publishing: CTPG is proud to partner with important industry associations and buying groups to produce a host of custom publishing products. We are proud to be a custom publisher for CEA and equally proud to have renewed our CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® contract for the next three years.

The industry is buzzing about the consumer magazine produced for HTSA. HD Living has grown to a quarterly that is directly driving foot traffic and sales into the 50+ participating HTSA dealers. The quarterly business-to-business publication is entering its seventh year as a “must read” targeted communication tool for the HTSA membership.

Live Events: Digital Downtown is expanding in this its second year to include an industry component called CEA Line Show. Hosted across the street from the Winter Garden consumer event in June, the CEA Line Show and the addition of I-stage are just the beginning of our commitment to grow Digital Downtown into a full-fledged technology festival.

The biggest lesson is that economic good and bad times come and go, but our brands are for life. It’s forever. We believe in giving people good things to talk about and continuing to invest in great products and communication that grow the business and improve your profit!
