The Consumers Electronics Association this week sent a letter to President Obama from a group of small CE business owners, urging the president to adopt small business-friendly legislation. Issues mentioned included support for pending free trade agreements, opposition to the proposed Employee Free Choice Act, and reduction of deficits and spending.

"As small business leaders, we stand ready to work with your Administration to restore growth and to work toward a sustainable global recovery," the letter said. " At the same time, we are concerned that the current path of excessive government spending will choke future opportunities for the next generation of entrepreneurs."
