PNY Technologies, Inc. has introduced its new solid state drive (SSD) lineup, configured with NAND flash chips, which greatly improve system performance, enhance ruggedness, and use less energy, the company explained. PNY’s SSDs are a drop-in replacement that greatly improves system performance, enhances ruggedness, and uses less energy in all notebooks and mobile electronics devices that allow for a traditional 2.5 or 1.8-inch hard disk drive. PNY’s SSD offering includes commercial and industrial options as well as capacities up to 128GB for its 2.5-inch version and 64GB for its 1.8-inch drive. Features include targeted read and write speeds up to 66MBps and 55MBps respectively; enhanced power efficiency; and increased durability.
