The lower end of the market has gotten really interesting the last few years and one player that has emerged as a major force is DXG. The company announced its new Pro Gear line, featuring camcorders that are equipped with high-end video capabilities and simple touch-screen controls, “appealing to both expert and novice video takers,” the company added. The DXG-A80V is the first model in this new line of products and is available at retailers today for $299.99.

The A80V features 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, 5X optical zoom and built-in electronic image stabilization. Measuring the same size as today’s popular Smartphones, the DXG Twist features a 3.5-inch widescreen swivel display to easily grip and capture HD videos and photos in movie-like detail. Available in February, the DXG Twist will retail for $169.99. DXG also announced today new models, features and colors to its 2011 QuickShots line, available at retailers at the end of January for $119.99 to $129.99.

You can also add a new DXG 3D camcorder to their product mix as the company will be launching a 3D camcorder this summer that will run for less than $200. A bundle package will also be available which will include a 7-inch 3D viewer screen for viewing the captured video.
