The Consumer Electronics Association used the occasion of Earth Day on Sunday to expand its initiative aimed at the greening of electronics. The CEA announced changes to its Web site, www.mygreenelectronics.org, which went into effect at midnight on Earth Day.
The new site includes an energy calculator, as well as numerous tools for educating consumers on how to dispose of their out-of-use products in an environmentally friendly manner. It also hosts a calendar which lists recycling collection events in each city.
