Deloitte & Touche recently released its list of the world’s Top 250 consumer products companies for last year, and the rankings were dominated by electronics/imaging companies, with CE/Imaging companies taking seven of the top ten spots in sales.
HP took the #2 spot (with $91.6 million in sales), while Samsung Electronics was #3 ($90 million), Matsushita fifth ($77.9 million), and Sony, Toshiba, Dell and Nokia taking the seventh through tenth spots. (Non-CE companies in the top ten were #1 Altria, #4 Nestle, and #6 Procter & Gamble.)
Also placing in the Top 50 were LG (#12), Motorola (#13), Canon (#15), Philips (#16), Sharp (#18), Fujifilm (#22), Apple (#30), Lenovo (#44), and Sony Ericsson (#49.)
