Casio America, Inc. recently announced the launch of the company’s “Animate and Share” Web site, allowing consumers to experience Dynamic Photo fun through the creation of entertaining and unique eGreetings. Visitors can add a creative touch to their photos and bring them to life with Casio5’s animation feature on the company’s new virtual camera site.

Each new user can share their creativity with the option to send their Dynamic Photo as an eGreeting or through email or upload to social networks like Facebook.com. Casio’s new virtual camera site allows customers to experience Dynamic Photo enjoyment before making a purchase.

Casio first introduced Dynamic Photo at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  Thanks to the high-speed image processing capability of the camera, moving subjects can be dynamically “cut out” and pasted into a different still shot that forms the background. In the past, this Hollywood like green screen effect was only possible with professional equipment or software, but this technology is now available in Exilim digital cameras as an in-camera process.

This year Casio’s Dynamic Photo feature was further enhanced through the ability to add animation art stored on the memory card to still photos captured by the camera. These animated images can now be emailed, posted on social networks and even printed out at home.

“We are thrilled to offer a fun and interesting way to take pictures and share their creations with friends and family,” says Toshi Iguchi, senior general manager of Casio’s Digital Imaging Division. “The Animate And Share Web site offers prospective customers a glimpse into the EXILIM line and allows them to engage in the photo process without making a purchase.”
