Best Buy Mobile  is meeting its growth goals, with a likelihood of doubling stores this year in time for the holiday season, the company's mobile chief told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Thursday.

Best Buy Mobile President Shawn Score told the Journal that he plans for Best Buy Mobile to reach a market share number in the mid-20s, in line with Best Buy's share of the TV and computing markets. To accomplish that goal, he said, the company is planning to open many new stores, including in such non-top-40 markets as St. Cloud, Minn.

The company plans to open between 75 and 100 standalone Best Buy Mobile stores this year, which would double the 75 in place at the end of 2009, Score said.
