Toshiba Releases Trio of Traditional Barrel-Style Camileo Camcorders

Irvine, CA—Toshiba Digital Products, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, released a trio of 1,920×1,080p Full HD Camileo camcorders: the X200, X400 and X416.

The handheld camcorders come equipped with 3.0-inch swiveling LCD touch screens with on-screen video trimming, and they offer a suite of capabilities for consumers to capture, edit, send and share videos or still photos.

Camileo X416. Users can explore their creativity with this traditional barrel-style camcorder. The X416 is the top-of-the Camileo line, offering a 23x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom, along with 16GB of memory capacity for recording three hours of Full HD video. Optional memory cards provide up to 128GB of additional storage. The X416 also doubles as a digital camera, producing 16 megapixel interpolated still photos. $319.99.

Camileo X400. With a 23x optical zoom lens and electronic image stabilization to help users fill the frame without destroying the quality of the video, the X400 provides a “pause” button added to stop wasting storage space and reduce file clutter by recording multiple moments into a single file. It offers similar features to the X416 but relies on external memory through the SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot. $279.99.

Both the X416 and X400 camcorders have a supplemental built-in microphone jack that let users complement filming with audio.

Camileo X200. This budget-friendly traditional barrel-style camcorder is equipped with slow-motion technology, time-lapse, a black-and-white filter and1080p Full HD recording with a 12x optical zoom, 20x advanced zoom or 60x digital zoom. $229.99.
