Las Vegas, NV—Along with the Vixia HF W11 and HF W10 waterproof, shockproof, dustproof and freezeproof camcorders, Canon introduced an addition to its Vixia G-series of camcorders: the Vixia HF G50. The camcorders are on view at booth #16206.
The HF G50 camcorder is the first Vixia G-series camcorder to offer 4K 30p video recording. The camcorder is a tool for advanced amateur filmmakers, wedding videographers as well as student reporters. It employs a genuine Canon wide-angle, 20x (29.3–601mm) optical zoom lens. It also offers a well-rounded feature set at an affordable price point.

Key Features
The Vixia HF G50 camcorder records 4K UHD/30p (4:2:0 8 bit) video. It also captures 1080p Full HD (4:2:2 10 bit via SDI/HDMI output) video in the MP4 format. It records to dual SD card slots with dual and relay recording. Users can also record in slow and fast motion intervals from 0.4x to 1,200x for additional creative possibilities.
Moreover, to help provide enhanced image quality over its predecessor, the HF G50 can utilize oversample HD processing with information obtained from its 4K 1/2.3-inch sensor and Digic DV 6 image processor.
In addition, the Vixia HF G50 camcorder incorporates an intelligent optical image stabilization five-axis system with Dual Pixel CMOS AF. The system provides users with image stabilization via a dynamic mode, which reduces image distortion even when shooting while walking.
Furthermore, by adopting an 8-blade circular aperture and applying EF lens technology, it is possible for the G50 to take pictures exhibiting natural bokeh. The portable camcorder also features an ergonomic design, a 3-inch touch-panel LCD screen and a tilting, user-friendly, high-resolution electronic viewfinder.
