Melville, NY—Capture One image-processing software from Phase One debuted Capture One Studio. The new program focuses on efficiency at scale, workflow management as well as automation. It is a solution for professionals, whether a 10-person studio or a 100-person team.

Moreover, Capture One Studio adds features backed by scriptable enhancements and advanced automation technologies. This allows anyone to build custom workflows. It also provides native barcode scanner support for expedited data entry; backup on capture for automatic data redundancy; workspace and tool locks to prevent errors; guides for setup of brand guidelines; and Capture Pilot enhancements to aid collaborative workflow.

“We’re excited to present the first-ever photo-editing and asset management solution specifically designed for high-powered workflows and multiuser teams,” said Jan Hyldebrandt-Larsen, vice president, Software Business, Phase One. “Capture One Studio merges industry-leading photo-editing tools with automation technology; accurate color profiling; and advanced asset management to meet the specific needs of fast-paced photo production. And eliminate the costly mistakes and time-consuming processes holding studios back.

Capture One Studio Feature Set

The software’s automation technology as well as its scripting language allow users to customize actions, streamline data entry and build intuitive workflows (Mac only). Moreover, with a single license key, it enables the addition or removal of users via a centralized license system. It also forecasts expenses with a pay-as-you-go subscription model.

Advanced Guides and Grid

Users can create guides as presets for faster work. They can also transfer guides in the processed files for quality assurance approval. Or they can include them as Photoshop guides when exporting to PSD, so retouchers and other users stay compliant with the master specification.

In addition, users can generate guides and grids as presets and utilize them in Photoshop. This streamlines multiuser workflows and minimizes composition mistakes when multiple team members work on the same image. Capture-One-Logo

Sync Grids, Guides and Overlays

Moreover, integration with the Capture Pilot app for grids, guides and overlays permits multiple team members to remotely review composition. Also viewable are sizing specifications during shoots, and clients can pick their favorite shots off-set.

Native Barcode Scanner Support

To save hours and redefine workflows as a hands-free experience, users can connect a barcode scanner to automatically name captures as they shoot. In addition, Mac users can script actions to enhance the scanning workflow.

Backup on Capture

Furthermore, the program provides automatic backup from a tethered camera to a chosen destination. As a result, users may reduce risk, save on backup software costs and protect assets as they shoot.

Additional features include workspace and tool locks with an admin pin that prevent users from altering the interface; and built-in color reproduction and color profiling for Canon and Nikon cameras.
