Long Beach, CA—Epson America, Inc., introduced the Expression ET-2650 and ET-2600 EcoTank printers. The all-in-one inkjet printers were created as cost-effective printing solutions for consumers and businesses. The supertank printers feature cartridge-free printing and super-high-capacity ink tanks said to be easy to refill.
In addition, up to two years of ink is included in each printer box. Epson says that is enough ink to print up to 4,000 pages in black and 6,500 color pages—the equivalent to about 20 ink cartridge sets.
“Supertank printers have seen great success in the North American printer market since the initial launch of EcoTank models for businesses and consumers,” said Nils Madden, marketing director, Desktop Imaging and Printing, Epson America. “The Expression ET-2650 and ET-2600 EcoTank printers expand Epson’s line of supertank printers as well as continue to address the needs of everyday home printing needs, offering an unbeatable combination of value and convenience.”
Whether printing photos, documents, web pages or e-mails, the new EcoTank models are designed to deliver convenience with wireless printing from tablets and smartphones from anywhere. Consumers can print without a network using Wi-Fi Direct for the ET-2650 printer. In addition, specs say the new EcoTank printers provide “savings of up to 80% on ink with low-cost replacement bottles.”

Other features include: print, scan and copy capabilities; a user-friendly control panel; one-touch copying; four-color (CMYK), drop-on-demand MicroPiezo inkjet technology; and a maximum print resolution of 5,760×1,440 optimized dpi. Furthermore, the printers can print 10 pages in black ink per minute and 4.5 per minute in color.
Additionally, the Expression ET-2650 EcoTank printer has a 1.44-inch color LCD and a built-in card slot. This enables printing photos without a computer.
