Concord, NC—DNP Imagingcomm America introduced perforated media options for its DS620A, DS40 and RX1 professional dye-sublimation photo printers. Ideal for photo booths and other photo novelty operations, DNP’s perforated media allows for multiple photo size selections at an increased output rate.

“Prints are a useful tool for the modern photographer to showcase their talents to potential clients,” said Katsuyuki Oshima, president of DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation. “The new perforated media options allow photographers to have complete control over their branded prints, whether that be a special message, coupon or even a wedding favor.”
DNP-Perforated-MediaThe media is a special derivative of the standard 6×8-inch photo paper that features a 2-inch laser-snap double perforation. A new 4×6-inch media derivative with a 2-inch single perforation is also available for the DS40 printer.

The 6×8 double-perforated media allows for snap-off photo strips and the ability to attach call-to-action items, such as vouchers, coupons, logos and other promotional materials. The 4×6 media for the DS40 features a perforation along the right side of the media sheet that offers the ability to create 4×4-inch square prints with an additional 2×2-inch perforated area that can be snapped off. This area can be used for photos, call-to-action items or plain text.

No special print drivers or firmware are necessary to use the new media, as DNP printers will recognize it as a standard media sheet. However, print templates are user-defined and all designs should accommodate the perforation area. dnpphoto.com
