Dover, NJ—Casio’s new flagship Exilim EX-ZR200 compact camera boasts a new rapid shutter feature that uses Casio’s own high-speed technology to achieve new heights in Exilim performance.

The camera comes with Casio’s HDR-Art function, which creates artistic images with a press of the shutter button, a blurred background function that processes images to make a soft background to accentuate subjects, and manual shooting. Also new is Casio’s premium auto pro function, which incorporates all the features of premium auto mode (which automatically analyzes the scene to choose the best settings and perform image processing) and now automatically combines images from high-speed continuous shooting to produce the best quality image. The function automatically activates, with the press of the shutter button, HDR technology for high-contrast conditions, high-speed night scene mode for night shots and high-speed anti-shake for high-power zoom shooting.

Additionally, Casio’s HDR technology takes several shots at different exposures and instantly combines them into a single image with a high dynamic range. This minimizes overexposed or underexposed areas in the image, creating a photograph with rich tonal gradation. And, the HDR-Art function enables anyone to create artistic photographs at the press of the shutter button by combining continuous shots with differing exposures and performing image analysis to locally change levels of contrast and color saturation. Users can select from three processing levels of art effects, and HDR-Art can be applied to movies.

Other features include: wide shot, which combines continuous shots taken with high-speed burst shooting when the user is moving the camera, resulting in super-wide-angle shots equivalent to 14mm or 18mm; multi-frame SR zoom, which maintains image quality while extending the wide-angle 24mm, 12.5x optical zoom lens to 25x optical zoom; Full HD movie recording and the ability to take 16 megapixel photos with high-speed burst shooting using the snapshot in movie function, which utilizes the optical zoom and continuous autofocus.

The EX-ZR200 will be available in black, white, red and blue in April. $379.99.

EX-ZR15. This addition to the Exilim line is equipped with shooting functions that set it apart from other compact cameras, including super-wide-angle shooting and a background blur function. It boasts a start-up time of 0.99 second, 0.13-second high-speed autofocus, and a time between photos of 0.29 second. It also features: Casio’s wide-shot function that lets users create super-wide-angle shots by panning the camera (to 17mm equivalent), HDR-Art; multi-frame SR zoom to maintain image quality while extending the wide-angle 28mm, 7x optical zoom lens to 14x optical zoom; 360º panoramic image capture; Full HD movie recording while taking 16MP photos; and premium auto, which enables the camera to automatically analyze the scene and sense human faces in the frame, the movement and position of the subject, and whether a tripod is being used, to optimize exposure, ISO, focus location, photo blur correction, tonal range and color balance, and level of noise reduction.

Casio’s Exilim EX-ZR15 will be available in black, white, red and gold in April. $329.99. casio.com
