Huntington Beach, CAMailPix.com, a new online photo site, is offering customers 10 free 4×8-inch photo cards with envelopes, just in time for the holiday season. The company also announced new video transfer services, in partnership with YesVideo, and the Failed Family Photos monthly contest.

To obtain their free photo cards, customers just apply the code “10FreeCards” at checkout, and a nominal shipping charge will apply. The cards have a $5.50 value. “Photo cards are the best way to make holiday greetings special,” said Fred H. Lerner, president and CEO, MailPix. “Photo cards leave a lasting impression and are often kept throughout the year. Also, our new integration with Facebook and Instagram make it easier than ever to find and to print that perfect photo.”

Photo & Video Transfer Services
Through its relationship with YesVideo Inc., a leader in memory preservation services, MailPix.com is now offering photo scanning and video transfer services. With the new services, consumers can have their photo and video memories transferred to DVD in a digital format.

Scanning and Archiving services include: video and film transfer to DVD, slide scanning, photo scanning, film scanning and negative scanning—all to DVD. The company also offers album scanning; consumers send in their entire photo album intact to prevent damage to old photos, and MailPix will scan it page by page.

In addition, MailPix provides memory backup services to DVD or Blu-ray, with accepted formats including CD/DVDs, USB drives and memory cards.

“We’re thrilled to partner with YesVideo to offer these great services to MailPix customers,” said Lerner. “In addition to offering the industry’s easiest way to connect with your current photo memories on Facebook and Instagram, MailPix now offers the best in transfer of photos and videos to DVD.”

“We think this partnership with MailPix is the perfect complement to our video transfer services,” added Greg Ayres, president and COO, YesVideo.com. “Video content from home movies is incredibly valuable to families who want to preserve, view and share those moments past with friends and family. Offering our services through MailPix provides another avenue for customers to go beyond photos and preserve all their memories.”

Failed Family Photos Contest
Failed Family Photos is the theme of MailPix.com’s monthly photo contest, conducted on its Facebook page. The MailPix Facebook community determines three finalists, with the winner chosen by MailPix receiving $500.

“Holiday photos are the cornerstone of family memories,“ said Lerner. “Sometimes, however, things don’t go as planned. We’d like our Facebook friends share their holiday mishaps and to preserve those memories forever with prints, photo books, photo gifts, canvas prints and more.”

The contest began November 14, 2012 and ends January 7, 2013 at 11:59 PST. Public voting for the contest begins January 8 and runs through January 12, 2013. During this time, members of the Facebook general public will vote for three potential contest finalists.

Founded in 2012, MailPix.com enables consumers to preserve their photo memories as photo books, prints, cards, enlargements and other tangible products. The goal of MailPix is to keep costs low and to pass savings along to consumers.
