St. Cloud, MN—Creative Memories has taken necessary step to reorganize the company by filing a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, in order to become a more efficient and streamlined organization.

“We believe this action will allow us to make the changes necessary to return the company to long-term success in the direct selling marketplace,” the company announced on their website. “We are as passionate as ever about our mission, and we plan to emerge as a more nimble business, focused on a strategic set of core offerings that help families tell their stories and celebrate their lives through photos.”

As part of the reinvention that’s starting this fall, Creative Memories will shut down its current websites, which include Creativememories.com and Consultant websites. The Digital Center and Project Center sites, once closed, will not be returning.

“We’re looking forward to introducing you to our new, fresher, simpler selves in a few months, and are excited to help you and your family celebrate all the amazing memories you have captured in photos,” the company added. “ During the next couple of weeks, we encourage you to export any information that may be useful to you in the future. Below are some helpful instructions to make the transition as smooth as possible.
