Melville, NY—Camera bag maker NYA-EVO teamed up with Phase One to open a new range of possibilities for professional and enthusiast photographers. NYA-EVO joins Phase One as its carry-on system partner for the XF IQ4 camera system. Phase One is a leader in digital medium-format equipment.

Jensen Pauwels, cofounder and head of Design for NYA-EVO, said the partnership represents a merger of the best new minds in carrier-system design and construction, and world-leading technology and equipment. “We’ve strived to create a backpack and carrier system that is as adaptable and well designed as today’s equipment,” he said. “Phase One has long been the epitome of technological advancement in camera systems. We are thrilled to be going on this journey with them.”

The Phase One Adventure backpack is based on the NYA-EVO Fjord 36 Adventure pack. It is designed and constructed to sit at the forefront of carrier systems. The compact 36-litre backpack has a lightweight T6-6061 tubular aluminum frame. In addition, it is built from a highly water-resistant and durable thermoplastic polyurethane-coated nylon fabric.

The bag features polyurethane-coated YKK Aquaguard zippers, ergonomic shoulder as well as waist straps, padding and quick-dry fabrics. As a result, “it is “as comfortable and easy-to-use as it is tough,” Pauwels added.

Moreover, NYA-EVO’s removal camera inserts (RCIs) are included in the Pelican Storm Case, the Phase One Adventure backpack and carry-on City-bag. RCIs add a level of convenience, flexibility and protection to studio and on-location photographers’ kit.

“The photographers we work with demand best-in-class solutions for studio photography and on-location tethering. And with NYA-EVO’s expertise, we believe we have met these exacting requirements, and more,” said Espen Beck, senior product manager at Phase One. He added NYA-EVO brought a fresh perspective to the company’s carry-on professional and private enthusiast solution kits.

“At Phase One we are really thrilled to be working with NYA-EVO for our carry-on solution kits. NYA-EVO made sure we can provide the most flexible solution to both the professional studio and on-location photographer. As well as the traveling enthusiast.”
