Carlsbad, CA—Lume Cube released its newest lighting tool for photo and video creators. The Lume Cube 2.0 LED light source is designed to perform in any environment and withstand the elements. With an aluminum housing, the light is waterproof to 30 feet.

Moreover, the lighting tool can pair with a camera, drone, smartphone, action camera or other content creation devices to achieve better lighting. In addition, the new device is among the smallest professional-quality LED lights for photo and video applications.
“Incorporating the latest in Imaging LED technology and USB-C charging, Lume Cube 2.0 represents the future of portable and powerful lighting for content creators,” the company added.
In addition, the device emits a daylight balanced 95+ CRI light. Its new 80º beam angle lens also provides a clean spread with zero hotspots that will illuminate scenes. And it offers content creators a run time of up to 1.5 hours at 100% brightness.
Furthermore, the next-generation light provides enhanced manual and wireless controls to allow users to quickly increase or decrease brightness levels. They can also unlock a “secret” low-light mode to adjust levels in 1% increments for creative long-exposure and night photography.
The company has bundled the new light with various accessories to soften and diffuse light; adjust color temperature; and mount the it on top of a camera. Moreover, the light is compatible with Lume Cube’s line of magnetic gels, diffusers as well as modifiers.

Lume Cube 2.0 measures 1.6×1.6 inches and is approximately the size of a golf ball. It offers daylight balanced 5600K color temperature as well as 750 lux at 1m. For ease of use, it has a two-button control system to increase or decrease brightness manually.
In addition, it offers wireless control via the Lume-X iPhone/Android app from 60 feet away. It also features a 360º optical sensor for slave flash capability and a built-in 1/4″ 20 connection for tripod mounting.
