Rochester, NY—Eastman Kodak Company and Kodak Alaris announced the availability of the highly anticipated Kodak Ektachrome film line. Kodak Professional Ektachrome E100 film, available from Kodak Alaris, is now shipping to distributors and stock house dealers worldwide. The film is initially available in 135/36x camera format. Moreover, Kodak Ektachrome 7294 color reversal film in the Super 8 format also is shipping from Eastman Kodak Company. Availability of Ektachrome products in the 16mm format will follow later this year.
A resurgence in the popularity of analog photography as well as motion picture film created demand for new film offerings. “We recently brought Kodak Professional T-MAX P3200 film back to the market. The response was overwhelming,” said Dennis Olbrich, president, Kodak
Alaris Paper, Photo Chemicals and Film. “Based on the response we’re seeing to beta test images on social media, we expect the return of Ektachrome E100 to be equally well received.”

The companies also anticipate a strong demand for Super 8 and 16mm products for use in commercials, music films and features.

The 7294 film has exceptional sharpness and grain performance. This film also offers very strong reciprocity uniformity and keeping stability. The film is suitable for outdoor as well as studio applications where moderate color saturation is desired. It is excellent for advertising, nature cinematography, documentaries and music videos. It works particularly well for telecine transfers and television filming.
