Minnetoka, MN—A new line of Polaroid camera drones made their North American debut at CES 2017. Designed with high-definition cameras as well as steady flight controls, the new models are slated for release in the United States.

The Polaroid drones each feature a 6-axis gyroscope flight stabilization system. They also offer multiple flight speeds to help ensure stable flying. Automatic controls, headless mode and also altitude hold functions provide an opportunity for even novice pilots to take flight.

Drones in the new line are equipped with high-definition cameras paired with a dedicated 2.4 GHz remote controller. Select models offer live streaming video through a free mobile app. All require FAA registration.

Polaroid Camera Drones

Polaroid PL2500. This camera drone features a built-in HD 720p camera and Wi-Fi connectivity to live stream video and photos to a smartphone or tablet. It records video up to 200 feet and has three flight speeds with 15 minutes of flight time up to 492 feet. Other features include the ability to perform 360° flips as well as altitude hold and auto return-to-home functions.

Polaroid PL2300. This drone also employs an HD 720p gimbal camera and Wi-Fi to live stream video and photos to smart devices. It records video up to 200 feet and has three flight speeds with eight minutes of flight time up to 490 feet. Also featured are 360°-flips capability and an auto return-to-home function.

Polaroid PL1000

Polaroid PL1000. Boasting a built-in Full HD 1080p camera and live stream video capabilities to a smartphone or tablet, the PL1000 also records video up to 200 feet. It has three flight speeds and up to 12 minutes of flight time at 200 feet. Also provided are the capability for 360° flips and an auto return-to-home feature.

The Polaroid camera drone range is offered by Abrim Enterprises, Inc., an authorized Polaroid licensee. Furthermore, the models will be available at retail outlets across the U.S. in spring and summer 2017. The line has suggested retail prices between $59.99 and $269.99. polaroid.com
