Santa Rosa, CA—Recognizing that adventure photographers need a camera bag that’s as tough as they are, MindShift Gear debuted the PhotoCross 15. With rugged materials and a faceted design, the backpack by Think Tank Photo is built to withstand the elements yet is comfortable enough to wear on long days in the field.

The MindShift Gear PhotoCross 15 fits an ungripped DSLR, three to five lenses, including a 70–200mm f/2.8 attached, and up to a 15-inch laptop. With an extra-large side panel for quick access to gear without taking the pack off, it is constructed with abrasion-proof materials, weatherproof zippers and a waterproof, heavy-duty tarpaulin base. Moreover, the backpack comes in two colors, orange ember and carbon gray.

The photo backpack also includes the ability to carry a tripod or jacket with its included straps. In addition, its waist belt is wide and removable. Plus, wide body-forming shoulder straps provide comfort. It also boasts a back panel with breathable 320G air-mesh to keep the wearer’s back cool during long days. Moreover, it provides fully customizable interior closed-cell foam dividers for gear.

Other features include: a water bottle pocket that locks in most 1 liter bottles; internal zippered pockets for batteries, memory cards or other small accessories; and accessible front pockets for filters or a light layer.

In addition, there are T-pulls for easy gripping with or without gloves; top and side carry handles; and a seam-sealed rain cover.

The backpack has internal dimensions of 10.6×17.3×5.5 inches and external measurements of 13×19.7×7.5 inches. In addition, it weights 3 pounds.
