Woodbury, NY—December’s featured photographer is Max Loewenstein. “I’ve been photographing for four years and freelance full time in New York City,” says Loewenstein. “Choosing a favorite photo of mine is nearly impossible; my favorite photos change with the season. This is a recent photo I love; I call it Autumn Avenue.
“I was driving down a road in Vermont when I saw the clouds lighting up with color from the sunset. Being in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by trees, I decided to keep my Sony a7R III packed away, and I pulled out my DJI Mavic Pro drone. As I took photos from the air of the sunset hitting the trees, I noticed how beautiful the road was directly below the drone. I pointed straight down to capture this view. I love how the trees connect perfectly in the middle, and that the road seems isolated from the rest of the world.”
