Dave Randin, December’s featured photographer, is a digital storyteller. Based out of Seattle, Randin is a Midwest native with experience working as a photographer in China. Carefully curating his vision over the past six years, he founded OnePhotoDaily to document his adventures while living in the Pacific Northwest.
“OnePhotoDaily is a personal initiative I started to help encourage both myself and others to keep capturing what’s around us,” says Randin. “It’s also a source of inspiration for anybody who’s interested in improving their photography skills.
“It takes quite some love of the outdoors to venture into ‘less desirable’ parts of the wilderness to find the right shot. Moreover, it takes even more patience to capture the right moment. For me, the idea is simple—take one photo every day. After that, keep going and growing!”
Randin is also a successful photojournalist, working with companies such as the China Daily, the Huffington Post and ABC News.
Randin took this photograph using a Nikon D810 DSLR and an AF-S Nikkor 24–70mm f/2.8 ED lens: 0.6 sec; f/11; ISO 31. You can follow him on Instagram, @daverandin, and on his website at daverandin.com.
