Melville, NY—Along with it new full-frame C700 FF cinema camera, Canon launched the CN-E20mm T1.5 L F lens into its Cinema EOS system. The compact, full-manual 20mm cinema prime lens is built for EF-mount cameras. Moreover, it is engineered for use in a range of cinematic and video production scenarios.

CN-E20mm T1.5 L F Features
The CN-E20mm T1.5 L F is engineered to provide 4K resolution from the image’s center to the periphery. It is a companion for Canon cameras that feature full-frame sensors. This includes the new EOS C700 FF digital cinema camera.
In addition, its 11-bladed aperture diaphragm—alongside a T number of 1.5—allows the lens to create soft bokeh. Like all Canon cinema prime lenses, the CN-E20mm T1.5 L F is said to feature “warm, natural-looking tones, 300º of focus ring rotation as well as minimized focus breathing,” according to Canon.
Canon launched the Cinema EOS system as well as EF cinema lenses in November 2011. Since then, it has continued to expand its EF cinema lens offerings. The lineup includes prime, zoom, compact zoom, Cine-Servo and Compact-Servo lenses.
Furthermore, with the introduction of the CN-E20mm T1.5 L F, the lineup now boasts a total of 21 lens models. The lenses are designed to provide cinematographers with more options to support enhanced content creation for various shooting scenarios.
