Palo Alto, CA—HP Inc. expanded its hybrid Latex R printer series with the introduction of the HP R1000 latex printer for rigid and flexible printing. The new printer accommodates a variety of hybrid applications, including signage and displays. The R series printer portfolio also offers such technologies as HP Latex Rigid Printing technology and HP latex white ink.

“The new introduction to our HP Latex R printer series delivers a versatile and also innovative print solution for medium-sized businesses to unlock print opportunities and drive growth,” Pericot added.

The current latex printer portfolio also includes the HP Latex R2000 printer. This printer is target at large-signage print service providers (PSP) who require workflow efficiency and sustained production.

Moreover, with the debut of the HP Latex R1000 printer, the company “is adding depth to offer maximum value in one device,” Pericot said. The printer is designed for growing businesses with investment and space constraints. Furthermore, the R1000 printer offers a single set of inks for a wide range of flexible and rigid media. Its potential applications include retail, outdoor signage, window graphics, events and exhibitions, and decorations.

HP R1000 Additional Features

In addition, the new R1000 printer comes with three liter ink cartridges. In comparison, the larger R2000 model has five liters. Its single set of inks also offers scratch resistance and flexibility with HP’s latex overcoat.

Furthermore, the new printer accommodates materials up to 64 inches wide and up to 2 inches thick. Conversely, the R2000 printer handles media up to 98 inches wide and up to 2 inches thick.
