Ronkonkoma, NY—Sigma Corporation of America is offering several Sigma September Dealer Workshops for all skill levels of photographers. The lineup covers aviation, architecture, sports, portraiture and also real estate photography. Participants will get hands-on experience and training from Sigma experts. Moreover, they will put their newfound skills to the test in the field. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to try out Sigma’s lenses.

In collaboration with Sigma dealers around the country, the Sigma Dealer Workshop program engages photographers through a mix of classroom lectures, hands-on workshops and real-world shoots. They are led by Sigma technical representatives and photography experts. In addition, photographers of all skill levels, from novice to professional, are welcome to attend.

Pinners Texas with Arlington Camera
September 13–14, 2019; Dallas, Texas

Pinners is a conference featuring 100+ Pinterest-based classes; they are taught by the best presenters in the nation. Furthermore, they cover DIY, crafts, cooking, self-improvement, photography, party planning, scrapbooking, holiday and beauty. Pinners-Expo-Graphic September Dealer WorkshopsOn September 14, Sigma Ambassador McKenzie Deakins will teach attendees how to use a camera in manual mode. She’ll cover basic functionality, how cameras read light, as well as how to capture crisp images. Later in the day, attendees will accompany McKenzie as she leads a photo walk through downtown Dallas.

September 13–15, 2019; Cleveland, Ohio

Pixel Photo Fest is an immersive, three-day photographic experience. It provides informative workshops, award-winning speakers, hands-on activities and also gear trials. Pixel-Photo-Fest-2019 Sigma September Dealer WorkshopsBrian Matsumoto, Sigma tech rep, will answer questions at the Sigma booth on the company’s line of lenses. Sales promos at Pixel Connection will also be offered. In addition, Sigma pro Jim Koepnick will host several presentations on sports photography.

engage viewers more than just a one-off shot. Doran will cover all aspects of shooting action sports from the technical to artistic and even the business.

Moreover, Sigma and Focus Camera reps will assist attendees. In addition, Marc Farb, a Sigma technical representative, will loan out the Sigma 12–24mm f/4 Art and the Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 Sports lenses, along with others.

Real Estate Photography 101 with Camera Bar

Sigma Corporation and Camera Bar will host Heather Prohaska, a well-established and recognized real estate photographer. She will instruct attendees on composition and lens selection. Prohaska will also discuss using available light in combination with continuous flash when needed and how to deal with back lighting.

In addition, Sigma technical representative Mike Deutsch will loan out the Sigma 14–24mm f/2.8 Art and other Sigma wide-angle lenses.

Portrait Workshop with Ashley Blake with Tempe Camera

Attendees can join photographer Ashley Blake for two back-to-back hands-on portrait workshops. The first will feature her recent work as well as useful tips on how to shoot outdoors with strobe and natural light.

The second workshop will focus on how to photograph children in a studio setting. Attendees can bring their camera and try out Sigma lenses and photograph a model during the event.

Fall Colors Workshop with Shutterbug Camera
September 29 to October 2, 2019; Eastern Sierras, California: Bodie Ghost Town, Mono Lake

Sigma and Shutterbug Camera will provide a series of workshops photographing fall colors in the Eastern Sierras. Attendees will have an entire day at Bodie ghost town, including six hours of special interior building access. They will also photograph sunrises and sunsets at Mono Lake during this four-day workshop.

The goal is for attendees to leave the intensive workshops with heightened perception of the natural scene; a stimulated compositional eye; and the necessary tools to anticipate quick decisions in the field to respond to changing conditions. Sigma lenses will be available on loan.
