Las Vegas, NV—Concurrent with the launch of its ultrawide-angle 14–24mm f/2.8 Art lens, Sigma also announced its front mount conversion service.

The service was developed to address the rising popularity of multi-camera productions. It especially facilitates the use of ultrawide-angle lenses in shooting and recording virtual reality (VR) content.

Front Mount Conversion

The new service converts the petal-type hood of the 14–24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art to a round component. The conversion eliminates a light-blocking function. Moreover, the altered front structure is designed to enable the lens to be used in various multi-camera VR scenarios without the risk of interfering with other lenses in the rig or producing undesired shadows.
