After years of testing, Best Buy has begun opening its first official standalone Best Buy Mobile stores. According to the Dallas Morning News, the first six stores- of a planned 40- opened in the Dallas area last week.
The next cities for the concept are Boston, Houston, Los Angeles and Miami. The stores, much smaller than traditional Best Buy locations, will open mostly in shopping malls, usually taking up 1,000- to 1,200-square feet.
