Woodbury, NY–The PMDA’s Portraits of Love project moved to The Big Photo Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center on May 4–5, where over 35 portraits of military families were taken free of charge.

Thanks to four volunteer photographers, Richard Rabinowitz of Digital Photo Academy and Stacie Errera of Tamron for all their work, and Mark Comon of Paul’s Photo, who provided light kits and backdrops, military families were treated to free portraits—one of which will be sent to their deployed solider.

Developed by the PhotoImaging Manufacturers and Distributors Association as a way for the imaging industry to give back, the program is now in its fourth year. The goal is to provide 10,000 portraits to military families. If you’re a photographer who would like to volunteer, please visit pmdaportraitsoflove.com or contact Michelle Tramantano at michellepmda@hotmail.com.
