DBL Distributing announced Monday that it has named Tim Coakley to the position of senior vice president of merchandising and purchasing. In the position, Coakley will oversee the company’s marketing, merchandising, and purchasing operations, as well as its online marketing efforts.
Coakley, a 25-year veteran of the electronics industry, most recently worked as vice president of merchandising for the recently shuttered retail chain CompUSA.
In a statement announcing the hiring, DBL President Henry Chiarelli described Coakley as “an experienced merchandiser with a polished skill-set to lead DBL toward a winning marketing strategy.” Chiarelli and Coakley formerly worked together at CompUSA.
