A top mobile phone industry analyst -one historically skeptical about the long-term value of smart phones- predicted this week that the Palm Pre will sell one million copies in its first full quarter.
According to the New York Times’ Bits blog, analyst Edward Snyder of Charter Equity Research, around 300,000 units of the Pre have been sold thus far, while the company is producing 15,000 units a day. Snyder also predicted that AT&T and Verizon will both begin selling WebOS-based Palm devices, although not necessarily the Pre itself, early next year.
