Cypress, CA—Mitsubishi Electric U.S. is offering an end-of-the-year special. The company is giving out a free box of 6×8 media (valued at $129) with every purchase of its newest photo printer—the CP-D90DW—through the end of 2016.

The CP-D90DW is marketed especially for event photographers and photo booth integrators. The compact printer is designed for ease of use and to quickly print high-quality photos even in humid weather.

“We have the only photo printers available on the open market with this cost-effective rewind feature,” said James Chan, director, Marketing and Business Planning, Visual and Imaging Systems, Mitsubishi Electric U.S., Inc. “And we want as many photographers to experience it as possible, which is why we’re offering free media through the end of the year.”

As a result of an efficient rewind function, the CP-D90DW offers cost savings and workflow efficiency, added Chan. Users can print six print sizes from one spool: 6×8-, 6×6-, 4×6- and 2×6-inch strips. They do not need to reload new media for each print size. Photographers can also maximize the number of prints per roll when switching between print sizes and/or print counts. This is a result of the rewind function that allows the CP-D90DW to print on unused portions of the media, helping users save money.
In addition, the 300-dpi images print in gloss or matte.

CP-D90DW Features

The CP-D90DW printer also offers flexible power options. It has two built-in power ports, USB 5V or DC 12V, one of which can be used to power a control device. Therefore, there is no need for additional on-site electrical outlets. The printer also works with devices with low computing power.

Another feature is its on-board digital image processing capability. The printer itself optimizes images, without needing a computer with a powerful graphic card. In addition, its compact form factor is complemented by a built-in cable channel. This allows for a tidy installation, even in tight spaces like stand-alone kiosks.

Most noteworthy is the printer’s humidity sensor. Since humid conditions can jeopardize outdoor event printing, the CP-D90DW’s sensor automatically adjusts for humidity to create stable photos.

Furthermore, the image-analyzing engine of the CP-D90DW printer automatically evaluates image data and executes the fastest print speed for that image; i.e., light-color images print faster than dark or densely colored images. Also, there is no need for user intervention in tweaking contrast or adjusting color balance.

Mitsubishi Electric’s CP-D90DW comes with a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor, with Express Advance Replacement during the first year. me-vis.com
