Casio Strengthens Consumer Products Division with New General Manager & Marketing Director

Dover, NJ—Casio America, Inc., announced the addition of Andrew Zweig as general manager and Ed Yamada as director of marketing to its Consumer Products division.

As Casio’s general manager, Zweig will handle consumer sales, educational business and marketing activities, while building product and brand awareness within the academic channel. He will also be responsible for providing strategic counsel and collaborating with purchase planning managers to suggest, research and develop new products.

Zweig previously served as the Northeast regional director for Texas Instruments, where he developed comprehensive and innovative marketing and sales programs, and as regional sales manager for Apple Computer.

Ed Yamada, who joins Casio as the new director of Marketing, will handle all sales and marketing related activities to support Casio’s portfolio of educational handheld products. He will be responsible for strategy building and plan implementation. In addition, he will be responsible for establishing relationships with independent manufacturer representatives and buyers to maximize sales in all channels of distribution.

Yamada had been the director of international sales for Scholastic, where he developed an export business from the ground up. He also served as vice president of sales for Simon & Schuster, senior vice president for Creative Publications, and most recently as director of Sales for Everbind Books.  casio.com
