Melville, NY—Canon USA announced the addition of a data recovery component to its Canon CarePak Plus repair program for consumers.

The “cost-effective and easy-to-use” CarePak Plus accidental damage coverage plan provides up to four years of service and support. This begins from the date of purchase for Canon products. Products include cameras, binoculars, camcorders, printers and projectors, the company announced.

Now, with every purchase of a protection plan for cameras/camcorders utilizing a removable memory card, data recovery is included. This new coverage component is designed to retrieve irreplaceable images or videos that would be otherwise lost or corrupted. Canon-CarePak-Plus-graphic

Protection Coverage

Additionally, as always, all plans offer protection from accidental damage. They also provide other hardware coverage for excessive wear and tear. The plan covers accidental damage such as drops, spills, power surges and other unforeseen events. Furthermore, there is no deductible for any repair or replacement and the plan offers free return shipping.

“The addition of data recovery to CarePak Plus provides Canon customers with a unique coverage plan not available from other providers. With CarePak Plus, Canon customers also enjoy service performed by Canon factory technicians using only genuine Canon parts, which no other service plan can offer,” the company added.

“The additional value of Canon CarePak Plus provides peace of mind, so life can go right on being picture-perfect.” usa.canon.com/carepak-plus
