Palm Desert, CA—The PhotoRocket photo-sharing service and downloadable apps for Windows, Mac and iPhones are now available for free. PhotoRocket was developed as a one-step solution to share photos from computers and mobile devices to friends, family, social networks and photo-sharing destinations.

There is no registration, log-in or account information required to view or download photos. If recipients register with PhotoRocket, they can reshare photos and purchase prints.

“This is not another photo-sharing website or service. You’ll never need to e-mail or upload a photo ever again,” said PhotoRocket founder Scott Lipsky. “PhotoRocket completely changes how we think of sharing photos by making it incredibly easy for senders and recipients: One step to share multiple photos with your friends or groups of friends. One step to publish photos across social and photo-sharing sites. One step for recipients to view, reshare and download high-resolution images. One step to view all your photos, anytime, on-demand.”

Lipsky added that PhotoRocket eliminates the puzzle of remembering who sent which photos, where, when or how, or what photo-sharing site they’re on, or which mobile device or computer.

It also eliminates Web links and file attachments by consolidating images into a viewing experience that includes all the photos shared or received from anyone who uses PhotoRocket. Photos are archived by sender and date, and they can be viewed or downloaded as full resolution images at any time.

To use PhotoRocket from a computer, consumers right click on photos wherever they see them, or drag and drop photos into the PhotoRocket app. On an iPhone, photos can be shared directly from a camera or camera roll simultaneously with photos from the user’s PhotoRocket repository in the cloud.
Then, after recipients are selected from a contact list, they click “share.” They can add new contacts if needed and select social network sites or photo-sharing destinations at the same time.
Recipients will receive an e-mail notification that photos have been shared via PhotoRocket and are ready to view, download and reshare.

PhotoRocket synchronizes contacts and photos shared across platforms and devices, and it delivers full-resolution images and acts as a single, cloud-based repository with automatic backup every time photos are shared or received.
