We’re pleased to be devoting this issue of Digital Imaging Reporter to the WPPI Conference & Expo. We are also excited to introduce a new section: Printing Press.

The beauty of WPPI is that it is truly a celebration of the world of wedding and portrait photography. Each year thousands gather at this show to attend conferences, learn from the most respected pros in the industry and visit with manufacturers as well as vendors to touch and feel the latest products.

We know from experience that any time photographers gather in one place, creativity abounds. And the passion that drives our business permeates the air.

With this in mind, Digital Imaging Reporter will be ramping up coverage of trade and consumer imaging shows this year. We will provide special coverage of WPPI, the NAB Show, photokina and CES. We know that it’s not always easy to attend these shows, so we’re happy to bring you the highlights.

In addition, beginning with this issue, we’re adding a new monthly feature to our pages; it’s appropriately titled Printing Press.

Printing Press is our testimonial to the resurgence that creative photo printing is experiencing. While we’ve always covered printing stories in our pages, we’ve decided to devote a minimum of four pages of every issue to the many aspects of printing. The section will cover research and hardware introductions as well as new products, corporate spotlights, marketing strategies, news and the trends that are driving the printing business to new heights.

Our goal, as always, is to bring you the latest information and innovations that can help drive sales and revenue to contribute to your success.
