Chicago, IL—As the countdown to photokina 2016 continues, Koelnmesse, Inc., updates the U.S. presence at the international trade fair for the photo-imaging and video industries. Koelnmesse, Inc., is the Chicago-based North American subsidiary of Koelnmesse GmbH, the show’s co-organizer.

The six-day event will take place September 20–25, 2016 in Cologne, Germany. This year’s edition will feature more than 1,000 international suppliers in 11 exhibit halls. Show management expects to draw more than 180,000 attendees from all over the world. It also expects to attract more than 1,000 North American photo dealers and retailers, as well as professional and amateur photographers.

Most noteworthy, among the exhibitors will be the presence of approximately 50 U.S. companies who will showcase their newest photo-imaging products.

Examples of U.S. Presence

BlackRapid. A leading player in the sling strap market, the company will show a new line of camera carrying devices. BlackRapid launched their first line in 2008 and will show an advanced version. Hall 4.1, C 24

ShootProof. This exhibitor will present their online sales solutions that integrate print and digital download fulfillment for professional photographers. The company offers galleries for professional wedding and portrait photographers to share, sell and print their work. Hall 4.1, I 26

HumanEyes. One of the most innovative cameras displayed will be the Vuze camera powered by HumanEyes. Vuze is a consumer virtual reality 360º 3D camera. It comes with an integrated function for automatic VR movie production. Hall 9.1, B 14

Savage. Geared for studio professionals, the new Savage drop stand can be used for easy light setups with auto-extending and collapsing legs. This allows quick repositioning of lighting when moving between groups and in tight spaces. Hall 4.1, F-39

MagMod. Another U.S. exhibitor will be MagMod, who will show their flash modifiers. The devices use two neodymium magnets to attach modifiers to a flash unit, to help make the picture capturing process more effective. Hall 4.1, C 29

Goal Zero. They will show their newest lines of battery chargers. They include the 100 solar recharging kit and the Venture 70 line that charges cameras, phones, tablets and other USB-powered gear multiple times. Hall 9, A 21

In addition, 13 North American exhibitors will use the U.S./Canadian group exhibits in Halls 2.1, 3.1, 4.1 and 9 to present their lines.

Also of interest will the photo exhibition hosted by the United Nations, titled The United Nations at 70. The exhibit will depict works of the UN around the globe, including peacekeeping, peace building and humanitarian assistance. The exhibit is made possible through the cooperation of Koelnmesse, in coordination with the Department of Public Information of the UN and corporate sponsorship from Lifetouch Inc.
