Edison, NJ—Sakar released the Polaroid IE090 18 megapixel waterproof digital camera in Europe. At £55.00 (US$86) it’s not only summer priced but also summer-proofed against assaults from nature and humans alike.
The sporty-looking camera is shockproof, dustproof and waterproof up to nearly nine feet—geared for snorkeling and underwater pictures in the pool.
The Polaroid IE090 also features: 4x digital zoom ; a 2.7-inch rear LCD display for framing images and a 1.8-inch display for snapping selfies; a built-in flash ; VGA and QVGA video recording with sound ; and a microSD card slot (8GB card included).
In the UK, the Polaroid IE090 is available at Dixons, Asda, Staples, Argos, QVC and Office Depot. In France, it is sold in Boulanger, FNAC and Darty stores for €70.00. There’s no word yet if it will reach the U.S.
