Torrance, CA—Pelican Products launched three deeper cases in the reengineered, up-to-40%-lighter Pelican Air case line. Since 1976, the classic Pelican Protector case has been a carry solution for photography professionals and consumers worldwide.

As a part of the lighter Pelican Air case line, the three new cases—the 1557, 1607 and 1637—continue Pelican’s quest to offer more versatility, portability as well as durability.

“Our engineering team consistently explores how to deliver innovative and also meaningful new solutions,” said Stephan Corti, president, Pelican Products Commercial and Government Division. “The Pelican Air case line is a major transformation, designed to maintain Pelican’s signature concept of high-performance durability while cutting the weight out.”

The Air case line, constructed of lightweight HPX2 resin, is now available in nine travel-ready sizes—in both long and, now, deep options. With more than 13 inches of depth available, the new cases provide room for fragile and valuable equipment, such as drones and cinema-grade cameras. All Pelican Air cases are available in black, yellow, orange and also gray versions.

Four Pelican Air Interior Options

Pelican Air cases come in a choice of four interior options to meet performance needs:

1.    The TrekPak divider system (not available with 1607/1637) features waterproof, closed-cell foam laminated to corrugated panels. It is designed to provide a customizable protection grid without wasting space.

2.    The classic Pick N’ Pluck foam offers a manually customizable solution for fast and simple protection. Its prescored foam can fit almost any equipment.

3.    The padded divider configuration includes customizable, protective dividers with Velcro. Users can change their equipment organization scheme on the go.

4.    The no-foam configuration allows a blank slate for custom interior solutions.

In addition, the 1607 and 1637 cases have wheels that have been tested for nearly 3,000 feet. The line’s newest products also boast classic Pelican case features. These include: a watertight O-ring gasket; a crushproof, dustproof exterior; stainless steel hasp protectors; rubberized, over-molded handles; and also double-throw latches.

Furthermore, each Pelican Air case meets the same performance tests (impact, drop, submersion and high and low temperatures). Pelican Air cases are also backed by the company’s lifetime guarantee.
