San Francisco, CA—A week after its launch last October, Zoner’s photo editing and management program was among the most-downloaded software on CNET. And it was recently announced that Zoner Photo Studio 16 earned PhotographyBlog.com’s Software of the Year 2013 for its ease of use and editing tools.

Zoner Photo Studio is said to be the first program of its kind to fully support touch control, and it offers unique features for both amateurs and pros. An important part of the photography solution is the Zonerama.com online gallery, which enables users to upload and share an unlimited number of photographs at original quality—even one million photographs at 100 megapixel resolution.

“Our developers were handed a clear task: the new version must have unique features and its controls must be as quick and intuitive as a Google search,” said Jaroslav Kucek, vice president, managing director, Zoner. “Zoner’s strategic goal is to become number one in the American PC photo software market within three years.”

Zoner Photo Studio 16 is a Windows photo editor designed to provide photographers with everything they need to download, enhance, manage, save and share photos—no matter their skill level. Beginners can benefit from the free edition with one-click fixes, dozens of photo filters and photo-organizing tools, while advanced shutterbugs can use the Pro edition ($89) with RAW photo processing, professional noise reduction and content-aware resizing. ZPS 16 supports Windows 8 touch devices, allowing users to scroll through their image collections with a flick of the wrist or perform edits with their fingertips.

Regarding the Software of the Year Award, Mark Goldstein, PhotographyBlog founder and professional photographer, said that ZPS 16 “was one of only eight products we selected for our Photography Products of the Year Awards and one of the products we really felt help define 2013.” zoner.com
