Concord, NC—DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation (DNP IAM) introduced its IDW500 passport and ID photo solution, the IDW500. The complete image-capture and printing system includes DNP’s photo ID printer, a digital camera with wireless transfer, a system console and ID photo media.

The ID system is designed to produce passport and ID photos that are automatically evaluated and formatted to comply with government requirements for the USA and other countries’ passports and visas.
Its touch-screen mini console has a 6.8-inch display as well as software designed to allow users to quickly view, select, edit and print pictures. DNP says the system’s digital camera “is configured for swift and reliable wireless transfer to the system console.”
The ID system’s image processing performs eight different biometric checks on all images. Moreover, results are presented to the operator for printing. In addition, the automatic functions of the system are designed to eliminate the need for manual adjustment. As a result, the risk of operator error is reduced.
IDW500 software also creates a gallery of the past six captured images. This allows for easy reprints and changing the ID template without taking another picture. The comprehensive solution also offers customers the choice to output their images to a USB flash stick for digital delivery.
Furthermore, DNP’s photo ID printer has a 350-sheet capacity. It also comes with DNP’s three-year Advanced Exchange (AE) support program.
