Cologne, Germany—As of 2018, DIGILITY will take place in parallel with photokina. It will, however, remain an independent event. The B2B conference and expo focuses on technologies and services related to virtual, augmented and mixed reality, 3D, 360° and also artificial intelligence.
Following its premiere in 2016, DIGILITY 2017 has experienced significant growth with 65 exhibitors and more than 1,400 visitors. For the visitors of photokina, the proximity with DIGILITY opens up new dimensions of imaging.
“With photokina and DIGILITY, we present an exceptional yearly business and communication hotspot for imaging technologies in all their facets,” said Christoph Werner. Werner is head of the Digital, Entertainment and Mobility section of Koelnmesse. “Digital realities are not only a decisive technology but make for attractive content pieces in the future of imaging. For the striving economic branch of digital reality, added Werner, “the imaging technologies presented at photokina are in turn indispensable.” Whether an augmented reality start-up or an entertainment corporation with virtual reality content, the solutions and products presented at photokina by the world’s imaging market leaders are an important component of the value creation chain of many digital reality applications, he added.
DIGILITY Focuses on Digital Reality
As an independent event, it will continue to concentrate on the segment of digital reality. In addition, it will continue to expand its offering in this category. Software, hardware and services from the fields of virtual, mixed and augmented reality, 3D, computer-generated imaging, 360° imaging, as well as artificial intelligence will be the focus of the conference program and the exhibition.
