Las Vegas, NV—OmegaBrandess was chosen the exclusive distributor for Cactus lighting products in the United States. Cactus manufactures products for flash photography, including flash triggers, several of which feature cross-brand compatibility.

The Cactus V6 II and Cactis V6 IIs for Sony cameras are marketed as the “world’s first wireless flash triggers that support cross-brand wireless HSS (high-speed sync) and cross-brand TTL (through-the-lens) automatic flash exposure.” They can also control the power output and zoom angle of Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax as well as Sigma system flashes all at the same time (exceptions for Pentax and Sony).

“The need for matching flashes with the same camera system for on- and off-camera TTL flash photography is over—TTL without boundaries,” the company announced. The first wave of firmware releases was for Fujifilm, Sony and Sigma equipment. In the last several months, Cactus added Pentax, Olympus and Panasonic to the list. Canon and Nikon will follow in early 2018, as they complete system integration on the V6 II/V6 IIs. The V6 II and V6 IIs retail for $95 each.

Also available from OmegaBrandess is the Cactus RF60X wireless flash. This portable flash has a built-in wireless transceiver that supports high-speed sync/FP mode and AF-assist. In addition, it has a unique cooling mode. The built-in transceiver transforms the flash into a tool for off-camera flash photography, as it gives users the ability to wirelessly control its power output and zoom level.

Moreover, when paired with the Cactus V6 II or V6 IIs for Sony, it provides users with high-speed sync on their off-camera flash. The RF60X also has the ability to sync with a camera above x-sync when it triggered by the V6 II or V6 IIs. As a result, the RF60X can be an HSS flash for Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax and Sony camera systems. The RF60X has an SRP of $185.
