Camera Bags and Accessories : Think Tank Photo Releases Airport 4-Sight Four-Wheeled Rolling Camera Bag
April 26, 2012Think Tank set out to design a more ergonomic roller to reduce fatigue and strain on traveling photographers; walking alongside a four-wheeler is easier than pulling it behind or carrying it over a shoulder. Putting the bag's weight on four-wheels helps eliminates arm strain and makes rolling more effortless.
On thick carpet, the Airport 4-Sight leans over to perform as a traditional two-wheel roller, and it can be rolled sideways on two wheels to navigate tight spaces, such as airline aisles.
“The Airport 4-Sight is in a class by itself,” said Doug Murdoch, Think Tank Photo’s cofounder and lead designer. “It appeals to frequent flyers or anyone who seeks ease in transporting gear. Smart design features like reduced overall weight and increased maneuverability, ergonomics and capacity make this rolling camera bag a breakthrough in the industry.”
Key features include: the capacity to hold pro DSLRs with four to five lenses; a removable Think Tank cable management organizer; a side hinged lid that opens the bag completely for unencumbered access to gear; a two-position locking handle; a zippered top pocket for a boarding pass; lockable zipper sliders on the main compartment; a reinforced bottom panel; user-replaceable handle and wheels; a seam-sealed rain cover; and YKK RC-fused zippers.
Think Tank Photo’s Airport 4-Sight has internal dimensions of 12.3x16x5–6.7 inches and external dimensions of 14x19.5x8 inches; it weighs 7–8.9 pounds. $299.75. thinktankphoto.com
