The Big Picture : Mimaki Wide-Format Inkjet Printer Maker Appoints New President

Suwanne, GA—Japan-based wide-format inkjet printer manufacturer Mimaki Engineering Co. appointed Hisayuki Kobayashi, currently the executive vice president, as its new president, following the retirement of Mikio Noguchi.

Mimaki’s board of directors approved Kobayashi’s appointment April 11, 2012, and he will take over the position in late June when Noguchi is scheduled to retire.

Mimaki has advanced globalization in recent years, including the improvement of the sales promotion system in the emerging countries, the company announced in a statement. It aims to strengthen its marketing, cost competitiveness and production systems in emerging countries and will also continue to focus on reinforcing its management base by delegating authority to the top of its development and production section.
