Epson PP-100 Discproducer Now Available Through WYNITSeptember 2008
Epson’s new disc duplicator uses six color printing technologies to achieve photo-quality images on standard and glossy media. The unit, which can be operated unattended, comes in a solid and dust-resistant body that provides businesses a less expensive, faster and more secure option than outsourcing disc production. It offers status reporting that creates a user-friendly experience. Discproducer™ can produce up to 100 discs in a single cycle, and depending on the data amount and media quality, produce at least 30 discs-per-hour.
As the importance of multimedia educational content increases in both schools and universities, the need for fast and cost-effective CD/DVD duplication becomes a priority. With the ability to duplicate up to 30 CDs-per-hour and more than 10,000 per year, the Epson Discproducer is ideally suited to the demands of the educational sector.
The new Epson Discproducer is also ideal for a wide range of other applications in the healthcare sector (where patient data archives is required) or for advertising and photo agencies delivering digital content to customers. Creative labeling can be a powerful promotional tool as well.
The new unit uses separate ink cartridges for each color, which allows cost-effective operations and features patented AcuGrip robotics to ensure precision handling of CDs/DVDs and minimizes the possibility of damage. The result is a surprisingly low total cost of ownership.
