The organizers of the 2010 photokina (Cologne, Germany September 26-31) have officially kicked off photokinaTV with a look back at the European Trade Press Conference.

Produced by FotoTV, photokina’s television partner, the broadcast featured Christoph Thomas, President of the Photographic Industry Association (Photoindustrie-Verband), and Oliver P. Kuhrt, Koelnmesse Executive Vice President, as they appeared at the press conference, pointing out the highlights of the upcoming photokina and reporting on the current business climate in the sector.

The trade fair’s video channel on MyVideo.de also went online simultaneously with the first broadcast of photokinaTV. And beginning immediately, www.myvideo.de/channel/photokina is presenting not only photokina TV broadcasts, but also current videos showing all aspects of the world’s leading trade fair for the photography and imaging sector. In the coming weeks on this platform, photokina also will launch special competitions focusing on the topic video.

Online broadcasters make.tv, a Cologne-based company, and MyVideo, Germany’s largest video community, are the official video partners of photokina. On-site production will be handled by make.tv, which will also broadcast the stage program live on the Internet. Users who miss out on the live event will also be able to access the videos after photokina.

Live television productions on the topic of photography can also be seen at the glassed-in studio of Foto.TV, photokina’s official television partner, which will address the latest innovations and trends at photokina on every day of the trade fair.

All photokinaTV broadcasts and further information related to the individual themes can be found in the photokina Newsroom.
