Commack, NY—Tamron Co. will be providing special sponsorship at photokina 2012 for the “Ikiru” (We Survive!) Post-Tsunami photo exhibition organized by the Japan Professional Photographers Society (JPS). The purpose of the “Ikiru” (We Survive!) -One Year After the Great East Japan Earthquake exhibit is to record the recovery efforts as seen by photographers and to tell the world how the people in the affected area are overcoming their sadness to industriously live on.
The exhibit was first shown in Tokyo in March 2012, coinciding with the March 11 anniversary of the disaster. Tamron's support will help ensure that camera and photo aficionados from around the world gathering at photokina in Cologne, Germany, will have an opportunity to see this photo exhibition. tamron.com
