Upper Saddle River, NJ—Manfrotto, a global manufacturer of photo, video and lighting support products and accessories, reached a mutual agreement with Elinchrom: as of May 5, 2015, Manfrotto will no longer serve as the distributor of the Elinchrom products in the United States.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Elinchrom has been a provider of photographic studio lighting since the earliest days of studio flash manufacture. From their headquarters and manufacturing facility overlooking Lake Geneva, they export Elinchrom studio flash around the world.

“Together, Manfrotto Distribution and Elinchrom built one of the best lighting brands in the photography industry. We have a long history of success,” said Adam Mirabella, president of Manfrotto Distribution. “As the U.S. photography and lighting market continues to evolve, both companies embrace these changes by updating their respective strategies in the marketplace. Elinchrom has been at the forefront of photographic lighting technology for more than 50 years, and we wish them continued success as they continue to provide photographers with high-quality lighting solutions.”

Manfrotto designs, produces and distributes professional products for photography, video and entertainment. The company was founded in 1972 based on Lino Manfrotto’s experience, and its mission has always been to support and simplify the work of reporters, photographers and producers. Part of the UK-based Vitec Group since 1989, Manfrotto has eight key markets: Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Hong Kong and the United States. It is represented by its own direct distribution system, Manfrotto Distribution, whereas in 80 other countries independent distributors handle sales. Through the Imaging Division of Vitec Group, Manfrotto Distribution owns the following international brands: Manfrotto, Gitzo, Lastolite and Avenger and is the U.S. distributor of Gossen, National Geographic, Metz and Rotatrim. manfrotto.us
